Sampler quilt. This is a miniatures quilt (a little like a Dear Jane quilt, only with my own choice of blocks), in sea and sky and sun colours. I’m making it in order to learn new techniques and improve my hand sewing. I can always use advice on this one.

Mini Grandmother’s Garden hexagon quilt. No two flowers are the same, so it’s a catalogue of fabrics I have loved, dresses I have made, and little things people have sent me to use.  Made in English Paper Piecing. I sew on this at the end of a long day, when I haven’t any brain left, or when I run out of pre-drafted, pre-cut bits for my sampler. The edges of each piece are approximately 2cm long.

Large Grandmother’s Flower Garden quilt.  I am actually making progress on this one, now that I can see light at the end of the tunnel.

I love the way your dog is sitting so nicely by the Flower Garden quilt. My dogs would be eating it 😉 The quilt is beautiful!!!

I just love the fussy cutting that you do on your Grandma’s Flower Garden projects, especially the birds and the flowers. Job well done! I’ll have to remember to try that on my next GFG project. You are good at the hand-sewn piecing, too. The miniatures are put together nicely, as well. Keep up the good work. I’ve really enjoyed your web site and your blog.

Love your version of the Grandmothers flower garden quilt. Nice work! I just inherited my Grandmothers hexagons. So I can’t wait to start. Thanks for the inspiration!

I admire your commitment. I can’t bear to do paper piecing anymore! These quilts look lovely and I also enjoy honouring garments of the past, gifts or offcuts and so on.
