It’s not perfectly done yet. It needs a button, a belt buckle, and a waist closure. It fits very differently in cotton to jersey; only needs one button instead of three.
There were a few days when I was sick of it and thought it was too much, too colorful, that I should cut the top off and use it as a skirt. So I got the Masculine Quilt Advisor to take a photo. I thought if I could wear it around (albeit pinned together) and see it in a picture, I could make a rational decision. Now I like it, love it, and I’m going to finish it. Yay!

My favorite so far! I love the colors and the cute red shoes are a perfect complement. It’s got a nice vintage-y yet modern look and perfect fit.

It looks really cute! I think the pattern works really well with that pattern, and your red shoes are great with it.
I was curious which pattern you used, disappointed when I saw that it was a vintage one (and therefore not easily available), and then shocked to see it’s the same one I bought last week! I’ll definitely have to give this dress a try now

Thanks for the comments! I have SO much trouble with shoes – I’m a size 11 to match my 6 foot frame and that usually means I have to wear black/brown ‘classic’ shoes or men’s sneakers. I was walking past Kumfs last week – they’re expensive and usually daggy – and lo and behold, these pretties with arch support in size 11 and on sale!
Kristy, I absolutely recommend this pattern. It will however drive you nuts with how long it takes to go together. Baste EVERY time it says to baste and be patient, you will love the end result! One change I made was to topstitch the collar rather than baste it. If you’re interested I’ll take a photo. This version has an extra inch in the waist, which is less than usual for me (if you’re normal sized you may have to pull it in at the waist) and I lopped two inches off the skirt. I have a feeling I’m going to make this often.

Also, Anne, Steve Madden makes size 11 shoes. You might be abel to find something interesting in that line.
